Question: What benefits does my club/group get from being a member of NABCA?
Answer: Membership in NABCA provides your booster club or team and its members with a direct conduit to club seminars and events, club newsletters, specialized club building tools, fundraising ideas, access to national vendor databases, answers to issues such as expanding parent participation and club structure, club documents - contracts and agreements and the ability to network with other booster clubs around the country and throughout North America. NABCA is the only booster club association dedicated to providing clubs with the educational support, resources and training necessary to build strong and successful organizations.

Question: Our club is in need of new fundraising ideas, can NABCA offer us help?
Answer: NABCA provides an abundance of fundraising resources. Fundraising Corner is exclusively dedicated to the topic of fundraising and offers everything from fundraising Q&A's to tips, pointers and cutting edge fundraising programs. NABCA has also developed a fundraising questionnaire that will help to identify the right fundraisers for your group based on your groups demographics, exerience, level of volunteer support and fundraising needs. You will also find that the majority of fundraising company's associated with NABCA will offer your group additional discounts, enhanced sales overrides and many benefits exclusive only to NABCA members.

Question: Does NABCA provide any training or support services?
Answer: Yes! NABCA has developed a multi-session training camp called Booster University or Booster U for short. These are regionally held training seminars each lasting about 3 1/2 hours and providing an abundance of training, knowledge, resources and information on most of the important topics pertaining to running and building a booster club. In addition to the Booster U seminars you will find Booster Central, NABCA's online portal is loaded with club building resources an tools, many of which are available to members and non-members alike. For NABCA members, you will find access to training documents, webinars and activities throughout the year.

Question: Does our club have to be a member of NABCA to get support?
Answer: No. NABCA is a non-profit association dedicated to supporting "all booster clubs" regardless of whether or not they are members of NABCA. Membership with NABCA does however provide you access and use of various features, programs and opportunities that are not available to non-member clubs, but you will find an overwhelming amount of resources regardless of whether your club chooses to become a member or not.

Question: Our club can't seem to get parents involved can NABCA help us with this problem??
Answer: Yes. Getting parents involved is a process of (1) helping them to understand how important your booster club is in insuring the programs and activities you serve, (2) helping them see themselves as playing a positive role in helping provide those continued activities for their son's and daughter's and (3) helping to take the "job" out of participation while injecting a large amount of "fun". NABCA can help you achieve these important issues while helping you to increase your membership and parent involvement at the same time.

Question: Does NABCA have local representatives who can personally assist our club?
Answer: A strong focus of NABCA is our committment to expanding the number of Club Advisors throughout North America. This means that there is a good chance that we either currrently have a local Club Advisor in your area or are working with qualified candidates who are progressing through the steps to become one. In addition to the growing number of Club Advisors, NABCA offers every member club with support through the Booster Central resources, email and when needed telephone support by qualified staff members at the national office.

Question: Our booster club has monthly meetings but we can't seem to get the parents to attend. Can NABCA help us with this problem?
Answer: Yes. Many booster clubs experience the same troubling problem. Getting parents to attend your meetings will require a combination of tasks. The most important one is opening up a good line of communication. Many parents don't come because they aren't told about the meetings or they don't feel welcomed. Educating your parents as to the value of your booster club as well as to what the booster club stands for is the starting point to increasing your meeting attendance. NABCA will provide hands on guidance and support to assist your club in gaining the support from your parents and supporters.
