| Why
not invite thousands of people to your next
fundraiser? |
Online
auctions can help your booster club tap into new
sources of income and reach out to a broader community
– and beyond. Online fundraising events are
increasing in popularity across the country, creating
a dynamic, interactive connection with your community
and giving organizations a competitive fundraising
edge.
NABCA
has partnered with GoBid Online Auctions, the leading
provider of online fundraising auction services,
to offer this valuable fundraising tool to all its
members.
ONLINE
AUCTIONS -
Expand your reach by thousands, without the
cost of traditional physical space and other
requirements.
|
 |
Gobid
in partnership with NABCA will help you set
up, promote and manage your auction –
and take away all of the technical headaches.
|
Gobid
makes it easy and fun to increase the fundraising
return for your club.
|
Here's
how you benefit by moving your fundraising online
with a Gobid Auction:
EXPAND
YOUR REACH
Expand your reach from hundreds to thousands
of people; from your community to the online
community.
|
| |
•
24/7 access — people
can bid at your Gobid auction 24 hours a day
for up to a month. |
| |
•
Greater incentive to give —
supporters get quality merchandise in return
for their support. |
| |
•
Leverage other auctions —
you can attract Gobid's regular bidders as
well as those who are coming to look at the
auctions of other organizations.
|
Not that we want to bring back bad memories,
but do you recall how hard it is to organize
volunteers around one major event at one specific
time?
|
EASIER
FUNDRAISING
With Gobid, fundraising becomes so much easier.
You'll
still need volunteers, but they can work when
their schedules allow — their primary
job is to seek donations of items and promote
the auction to family and friends. For more
on how to make best use of your volunteers,
please see our organization section in the
electronic toolkit. |
 |
Moving your fundraising online can also help
reduce your overall costs. You no longer have
any need for renting venues and arranging
staff for pricey fundraising events. (And
then, what usually happens at silent and live
auctions, is that you hope everyone in the
room will be generous and bid!).
|
There
isn’t any limit to the number of auctions
that you can have throughout the year or the number
of items. You can host an auction in conjunction
with a live event, have an ongoing auction or a
two week auction at any time throughout the year.
With a Gobid auction, your hard costs are capped,
Gobid's commission is locked and successful bidders
pay for delivery.
HOW
IT WORKS
Your job is to collect items and promote —
our job is to make the technology happen. Together,
we'll make money for your organization and the
work you support.
Your auction will run for either two weeks or
a full month (your choice - no extra cost) —
that's far more exposure than you'd get through
a traditional fundraising event. Your auction
will be featured on our home page, similar to
the example below. |
Once
your auction is up and running, bidders and
supporters will be able to browse by category
or search for items by keyword within your
auction only.
Before and during your auction, we'll help
you promote it with a marketing toolkit that
you can adapt to your look and feel.
If it seems easy, that's because it is. It's
just like holding a silent auction, except
you're not restricted by a physical location
or narrow window of time.
